Sophia Glass is a 21 year old artist currently living in the Boston area. Her feminist and queer sensibilities largely inform her artwork. By representing bodies that differ from normative cultural conventions, it is her intention to both reflect and subvert the dominant gaze, while rethinking gendered and sexed embodiment. She often incorporates mixed-media processes into her studio practice to intensify the confrontation of her work and challenge the scripts of traditional art making.
